i had the pleasure of photographing for the [3rd time!] seth & skylar holmes!  i love this family so much.  all i've got to say is that rodney & simone:  you know how to raise some great kids. :)  besides seth getting hurt and calling me 'tazy' (even that was cute), it was an awesome shoot!  lol  here is a sneak preview!

hello everyone!  j&a has been soooo busy so i'll get right to the point!

ok, i'm done showing pictures now.  :)

this week i got the awesome experience of the TRIO workshop at vgallery in morton, illinois.  i basically learned 1. i needed to raise my prices (sorry).   2 that i have to spend alot of money to make money and 3 that photography IS art.  the public needs to be reminded that photography is a very creative form of art.  it should not be taken so cheaply.  it should be treated just like painted canvas' in art galleries.  which is why i was reminded not to sell my creative artwork so cheap. 
while i was at the workshop i got offered a job to work as a photographer for vgallery.  holy crap, i have never been so flattered in my life!!  vickie and i talked about it, and as flattered as i was, i am too excited to give up my own business, especially since j&a will be full time in 2 weeks!!  so, no worries.  j&a is here to stay!  atleast for now.

  is anyone else ready for summer??  i've got to say that if there is one more cold day, i might scream!

j&a is getting to be really busy!  we are booked doing bridals, seniors, and a wedding at the end of the month.

i had said earlier that i was going to cheryl muhr's Secret Workshop.  NOW, i'm no longer going to the one in phoenix, but in Boston.  In May i am attending VGallery's workshop, TRIO.  Super excited about that one as well!
I don't know whether people are actually reading these blogs, but just in case, here is a bit of news about this summer.  i will be living in Nashville, TN for a about a month during the summer break, but will be coming back to NC for shoots.  i will only be coming weekends at a time.  i will make sure to post on here what the dates are that i will be scheduling shoots on.  MAKE SURE you call and make your appointments ahead of time!

among my many talents (; , i'm a nanny.  not only a nanny, but the luckiest!  kinsey grace is very close to my heart.  whoever thought a 1 1/2 old little girl could teach me things!?  my days consist of "NO!"s, "ah u ahwight?"s, "MEMO!", etc...

Hi All!  This is J&A's very 1st blog, welcome!

I wanted to post the exciting changes for 2008!  We have added a new team member, Katelyn Marks!  Kate will be doing the hair&makeup for our clients when requested(price included in session fee).  the portfolio we have made for her, which includes pictures of models with their hair&makeup done by kate, will be posted on the website soon!

As some of you already know, we are no longer doing weddings (yay!).  Aaron & I have joined with Poetic Reality Productions as their bridal/engagement specialists.  With this arrangement, we all get what we want.  Babs & Scott(PRP) get to do wedding photography & videography.  Aaron & I get to stick with what we are best at: (controlled) high fashion bridals & engagements.

I wanted to give you the opportunity to see what i'm participating in, in april.  Cheryl Muhr is my most favorite photographer of all time.  She inspires me more than anyone.  She has put together a SECRET workshop  (with two other amazing photographers) for people who aspire to be great (like her)!  not only do i get to go (in phoenix), i get to go for free!  i'll be sure to post about my experience!
